My Fifth Christmas 2022

Time definitely flies quickly! It's already my fifth Christmas celebration in the United States. This year spirit is Home Sweet Home. I and the host family did not do anything too special, because we all agreed to keep it small and simple.

We opened the bottle of Martinelli then raised the glass to celebrate the whole year's success and failures, and a healthy-and-safe ending. On Christmas Eve, the children were allowed to open one present of their choice and save the rest for the 25th. Their faces sparkled with excitement and satisfaction because Santa Claus did hear their wishes and considered them as good kids of the year! I swear that nothing is as pure and joyful as children's laugh. It puts my mind and hear at ease. After gift opening event, we all enjoyed hot chocolate, and family-bonding game night. The house was nothing else but full of laugh and incredible memories.

Holiday does not have to be enormous or decorate with luxurious items. The spirit plays the most crucial role in forming the values and meanings of it. I am not a religious person, but I enjoy and appreciate the magical soul and warm reunion of this event. I wish you all a wonderful holiday! Stay safe, warm, and healthy!
